What this form means

Shareholders are not liable for the company's obligations and risk only the value of their shares. The law sets a minimum share capital for joint-stock companies and requires specific governing bodies.

Alongside this form the register still carries ЗАТ and ВАТ — the closed and open joint-stock companies the law provided for before 2011. Those records mostly belong to companies that have since been terminated or reorganised.
