What the founders undertook to contribute — and what the register publishes.
Share capital is recorded in the Unified State Register, so it is visible even for a company that has never filed a financial statement.
Ukrainian law sets no minimum for a limited liability company, so a very large share of Ukrainian ТОВ carry a share capital of a few thousand hryvnia. A small share capital is not a sign of trouble — it is simply the usual choice.
Do not confuse it with equity. Share capital is what was put in; equity is what the company has become after years of profit or loss.
